About us //

Exe Valley Osteopathy was established in March 2013 and is run by osteopaths Sam Mildren and Lauren Mildren (previously Goodlad). The Tiverton-based clinic was the first to be established and had a very successful 5 years on Castle Street. In 2018 the clinic relocated to its new base on Blundells Avenue in Tiverton.

In November 2015, Exe Valley Osteopathy expanded to Dulverton and is based within the Exmoor Medical Centre. This was due to the large numbers of patients travelling from the Exmoor area to Tiverton. The Dulverton clinics has gone from strength to strength seeing more and more patients every year.

Exe Valley Osteopathy also works for the Tiverton Rugby Club and Heathcoat Cricket Club, enjoying many successful seasons.

In 2024 we expanded once again, offering physiotherapy and sports therapy from our Tiverton clinic.

Sam Mildren // Osteopath (M.Ost)

Sam has a Masters degree in Osteopathy from Oxford Brookes University (2012). After qualifying, he worked in a number of established clinics in the south east, before setting up Exe Valley Osteopathy in Tiverton in 2013, and then expanding to Dulverton in 2015.

He is also the Osteopath from the Tiverton Rugby club and Heathcoat Cricket Club.

Sam treats in a structural way, targeting the musculoskeletal system with a range of techniques including mobilisations, manipulations, massage and stretching, as well as acupuncture and kinesiotaping. He also gives out a range of stretching/strengthening exercises to speed up the recovery process. His aim is to not only get rid of pain and discomfort, but to find the root cause of the issue and prevent it happening again.

Sam is Tiverton born and raised and is very keen on all sports. His passion is cycling and he has competed in (or shall we say completed) a few triathlons as well as a solitary outing for the Tiverton Rugby Club.
