Exe Valley Osteopathy was established in March 2013 and is run by osteopaths Sam Mildren and Lauren Mildren (previously Goodlad). The Tiverton-based clinic was the first to be established and had a very successful 5 years on Castle Street. In 2018 the clinic relocated to its new base on Blundells Avenue in Tiverton.
In November 2015, Exe Valley Osteopathy expanded to Dulverton and is based within the Exmoor Medical Centre. This was due to the large numbers of patients travelling from the Exmoor area to Tiverton. The Dulverton clinics has gone from strength to strength seeing more and more patients every year.
Exe Valley Osteopathy also works for the Tiverton Rugby Club and Heathcoat Cricket Club, enjoying many successful seasons.
About us //
Sam Mildren //
Sam has a Masters in Osteopathy from Oxford Brookes University. After qualifying, he worked in a number of established clinics in the south east, before setting up Exe Valley Osteopathy in Tiverton. More recently Sam has expanded the practice to Dulverton.
Sam treats in a structural way, targeting muscles, ligaments and joints with a range of techniques including stretching, massaging, mobilising and manipulation. As well this, he uses strapping and kinesiotaping techniques to aid treatment. His aim is to not only get rid of pain and discomfort, but to treat the cause of the issue to try and prevent it happening again.
Sam is Tiverton born and raised and is very keen on all sports. His passion is cycling and he has competed in (or shall we say completed) a few triathlons as well as a solitary outing for the Tiverton Rugby Club.

Lauren Mildren (Goodlad) //
Lauren graduated with a Masters degree from Oxford Brookes University. Before moving to Tiverton to set up Exe Valley Osteopathy, Lauren worked in a number of clinics in and around Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
Lauren uses a variety of techniques in her treatments, including mobilisations, stretching and soft tissue work and has a slightly lighter approach to treatment than some may expect from an osteopath. She also uses cranial osteopathy to help with all manner of problems, but has particular interest in the treatment of headaches and jaw problems.
Lauren comes from St. Albans, Hertfordshire but loves life in the south west. She plays netball for the Tiverton Terriers Netball Club and cricket for the Heathcoat CC ladies team.
